From our famous high tea to gourmet dinners, all meals at the Wintergarden Restaurant are served with complimentary majestic views over the magnificent Megalong Valley.

Surrounded by elegant gold and white décor, guests can take decadence up a notch to indulge in a high tea at the grandest of the grand Blue Mountains hotels, the world-famous Hydro Majestic Hotel. Treat yourself with free abandon to the mouth-watering selection of goodies created by the kitchen team. Nibble on an array of luscious sweet treats, along with a selection of finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones with homemade jam and fresh clotted cream while overlooking the sublime view over the Megalong Valley. Alternatively, partake in a unique Eastern high tea with fare such as dumplings, Vietnamese rice paper rolls and Chinese twice-cooked pork belly while sipping delicately flavoured blossom tea. Sip on freshly brewed speciality teas and coffees or upgrade your experience to include a glass of Australian sparkling wine or a glass of Pol Roger NV French Champagne. The gourmet dinner menu features gastronomic delights such as confit quail with charred trumpet, curried cauliflower puree, 59C quail egg, wilted baby spinach, barley crisp; Riverina Angus striploin oxtail ragout with roast garlic celeriac puree, charred spring onion, heirloom carrot ribbon, shiraz jus; and pan seared duck supreme with pulled barbecue duck, puy lentil, morels, 48 hours duck skin and miso broth. Vegetarian dishes include the colourful asparagus and pickled heirloom carrots with olive soil, roast carrot purée, crisp and smoked asparagus jus; and soba noodles with fermented mushrooms, pickled daikon, charred tofu, kimchi, 58°C egg and wild mushroom veloute. Follow the savoury offerings with a decadent dessert like smoky chocolate mousse, hazelnut praline, citrus fruits ginger confit, mandarin gel and gold speckle; butterscotch apple, Bilpin green apple and goat cheese ice cream, pistachio variations (candied, crumble, purée, sponge) and salted caramel goat curd; or a regionally-sourced cheese platter. In fact, with few exceptions, food and wine served at the Wintergarden Restaurant is sourced from within a 100 mile (160km) radius of the kitchen.
