Boiler House Restaurant

With magnificent Megalong Valley views, exceptional artworks and an outstanding menu of regional produce, the funky Boiler House Restaurant at The Hydro Majestic takes casual dining to the escarpment edge.

Two dining levels are open daily for lunch from 11am to 3.30pm. Also check out our website for dinner openings when we host Live@theBoilerhouse events featuring live jazz and blues music artists. Sup on dishes such as pork and duck rillettes with pear, watercress, crostini and peach compote; grilled octopus with potatoes, cherry tomatoes, olives, capers, parsley and lemon; braised beef cheek with green beans, gremolata and rosemary; and potato gnocchi with butternut pumpkin, garlic, radicchio, spinach, almonds and sage. Follow savoury flavours with a cheese platter or a sweet treat such as limoncello mousse cake with raspberry coulis, citrus sponge, limoncello mousse and candied lemons or Tiramisu of whipped mascarpone, savoiardi biscuit, coffee anglaise and chocolate shavings. Discerning foodies seeking to savour the flavour of crisp Blue Mountains air and earthy tones of the Central West will find it in every bite served at Escarpment Group properties including the Boiler House Restaurant. With few exceptions, food and wine are sourced from within a 100 mile (160km) radius of the kitchen. A growing proportion of ingredients are even sourced from the edible garden at the nearby Parklands Country Gardens & Lodges property at Blackheath. (Look for the specially-designed logo printed next to items which include at least 80 per cent local and regional ingredients.) While at the Boiler House, be sure to browse the exceptional artwork on the walls from regional artists such as Warwick Fuller and Ian Swift, thanks to a partnership with Lost Bear Gallery in Katoomba. Opening hours: Lunch: 11am to 3.30pm daily Bookings: www.hydromajestic.com.au, reservations@hydromajestic.com.au or phone 02 4782 6885.
